Chelsea are ready to accept a £40m offer for their striker Romelu Lukaku, as per reports from Italy. The news comes amidst interest from AC Milan, who are considering a move for the Belgian international.
Lukaku, who spent last season on loan at Inter Milan, has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea following his £97.5 million move to Stamford Bridge in August 2021. While Inter have begun talks with Chelsea about extending Lukaku’s loan deal for another season, the Premier League side is more inclined towards a permanent sale.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea would accept a £40m offer for Lukaku, but Inter are unwilling to meet their asking price. AC Milan, on the other hand, are reportedly considering a move for Lukaku and hope to sign him alongside Marcus Thuram, who is available on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Despite receiving interest from the Saudi Pro League, Lukaku is keen to continue at Inter. However, the interest from AC Milan could potentially sway the striker’s decision. AC Milan, who finished fourth in Serie A last season, are looking to bolster their attack as they prepare for the Champions League next season.
