Barcelona and Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement over a loan deal for Franck Kessié, according to SPORT.
The 26-year-old Ivorian midfielder is set to join Juventus on a season-long loan, with an obligatory purchase clause worth between €10-15 million.
As per the agreement, Kessié will move to Juventus this summer on loan and the Italian club will be required to make the deal permanent next summer.
Kessié joined Barcelona last season on a free transfer from AC Milan, but has struggled to cement his place as a starter under manager Xavi Hernandez.
With Barcelona needing to balance their books this summer, Kessié was deemed expendable which opened the door for Juventus to swoop in.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has long been an admirer of Kessié and sees him as a good fit in his midfield.
Juventus will now look to negotiate personal terms with the midfielder before finalizing the transfer.
Kessié had maintained his desire to stay and succeed at Camp Nou, but the loan move to Juventus now seems imminent.
For Barcelona, this allows them to recoup a decent fee for a player who was unlikely to be a starter this season. Xavi still has the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi and others available in midfield.
While not a massive fee, the €10-15 million will come as a boost for Barcelona who continue to work on improving their financial situation.
