Manchester United‘s young talent Hannibal Mejbri has caught the attention of Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga side is reportedly keen on signing the 20-year-old midfielder, according to the Manchester Evening News. Dortmund is said to be willing to pay €15 million, which includes performance-related add-ons, for the young talent.

Mejbri, who joined United’s academy from AS Monaco, had his first taste of regular first-team football last season when he was loaned to Birmingham City.

During his time there, he made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and registering six assists. His consistent presence in the Birmingham midfield has led to speculation about a possible return to the club.

However, the Blues’ hopes may have been dashed with Dortmund’s interest. It is believed that Manchester United will give Mejbri a chance in the upcoming pre-season before making any firm decision on his future. If United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, and the club decide that Mejbri isn’t ready for the first team, they would be willing to listen to offers for the young midfielder.
