Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, and Billy Gilmour have been the victims of a harassment campaign led by social media influencer Orla Melissa Sloan, also known as “Devil Baby”.

Sloan, who has a significant following of 92,000 on Instagram, used 21 different phone numbers to target the players, according to court proceedings. The saga began when Sloan met Mount at a party hosted by Chilwell and subsequently began harassing him when he did not respond to her advances.

In a surprising twist, it was revealed in court that an ex-girlfriend of Mount had collaborated with Sloan to create some of the fake accounts used to message the footballer. The ex-girlfriend was not involved in the court proceedings.

Sloan admitted to stalking Mount and Gilmour, causing serious alarm or distress, and harassment without violence in relation to Chilwell, between January and October 2022.

The court handed down a 12-week sentence, suspended for 18 months, and issued a restraining order preventing her from contacting the footballers. Sloan was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and pay the footballers a total of £1,100 in compensation.
