Arsenal fullback Kieran Tierney is reportedly open to a return to Celtic this summer. The Scottish international is keen to reunite with his former Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers, who has recently returned to Celtic Park.

According to The Sun, Celtic are willing to take Tierney on a season-long loan, with Arsenal covering a percentage of the defender’s wages.

Tierney’s interest in a return to Celtic comes after losing his first-choice status last season to Oleks Zinchenko. The 26-year-old left Celtic in 2019 for Arsenal, but his progress has stalled over the past 12 months.

Celtic’s interest in Tierney comes as the club looks to strengthen their squad under Rodgers’ leadership. The potential loan move would provide Tierney with an opportunity to regain his form and play regular first-team football.

Arsenal, on the other hand, may see this as a chance to reduce their wage bill and assess Tierney’s long-term future at the club. The Gunners have recently made a £105m bid for Declan Rice, with Manchester City pulling out of the race for the West Ham midfielder.
