Arsenal have submitted a massive £105m offer for West Ham’s Declan Rice, in a bid to outpace Manchester City in the transfer race.
The offer consists of an initial fee of £100m and an additional £5m in performance-related add-ons. If accepted, this deal would make Rice the most expensive British player in history, surpassing the previous records held by Gareth Bale (£85m) and Jude Bellingham (£88.5m).
The Gunners have already had two offers rejected by West Ham, with the latest being a club-record proposal worth up to £90m (£75m base fee plus an initial £15m).
West Ham values their captain at £100m, which Arsenal have now matched in an attempt to gain an advantage over Manchester City, who also maintain a strong interest in the player.
Manchester City have reportedly submitted a formal offer of £80m plus £10m in add-ons, totalling the same amount as Arsenal’s second bid.
