Ziyech’s Move to Saudi Arabia Collapses Over Personal Terms

Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech‘s £8 million move to Saudi Arabia side Al-Nassr has collapsed due to disagreements over personal terms and a failed medical.

The 30-year-old Moroccan international could not agree on final terms over a three-year contract, According to club sources in the Gulf. Reports suggest that a knee problem was identified during his medical examination, which has raised concerns for Al-Nassr.

Ziyech has struggled to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge since his £33 million move from Ajax in 2020. He made 24 appearances last season, with the majority coming from the bench. With two years left on his contract, Ziyech remains surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

This is not the first time Ziyech has faced transfer issues. In January, a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed due to paperwork not being signed on Chelsea’s end. It remains to be seen if Al-Nassr will reignite their interest later in the transfer window or if another club will step in to sign the winger.
