According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the deal is valued at £40 million, with additional add-ons, and personal terms have already been agreed upon.

Maddison is expected to become Spurs’ second summer signing, following Guglielmo Vicario‘s arrival from Empoli. The midfielder has been a key player for Leicester, making over 200 appearances and contributing ten goals and nine assists in the Premier League last season.

The signing of James Maddison represents a significant achievement for Tottenham, as they have been long-term admirers of the player.

Tottenham’s interest in Maddison traces back to his time as a teenager at Coventry, although a move did not materialize then, and he eventually joined Norwich City.

While Newcastle had shown interest in Maddison, they decided to pursue other targets, leaving Tottenham as the frontrunner to secure the midfielder’s signature.
