Former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has publicly encouraged Harry Kane to consider a move to the Spanish giants. This comes amidst rumors that Manchester United and Real Madrid are both interested in the Tottenham forward.
The Perfect Fit for Madrid
Ramos, who won 22 trophies during his 16-year stint at Madrid, believes that Kane would be an excellent fit for the club. He praised the England captain’s physical presence and technical skills, stating, “He [Kane] has an incredible physical presence, you can’t score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game. But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don’t think he gets enough credit for that.“
The Search for Benzema’s Successor
Real Madrid is reportedly seeking a replacement for Karim Benzema, who has accepted a €100 million (£85.8m)-per-season deal to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad. Ramos emphasized the importance of finding a quality forward who can handle the pressure and expectation of playing for Madrid. He added, “Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation – so it needs to be the right player.“
Kane’s Future
With Manchester United also expressing interest in Kane, the striker’s future remains uncertain. Tottenham’s preference would be to sell Kane to an overseas club, which might give Real Madrid an edge in the race for his signature. However, the final decision will ultimately lie with Kane.
