Brentford Football Club have announced the permanent signing of Romeo Beckham from Inter Miami CF. The 20-year-old, son of football legend David Beckham, has signed a one-year contract with the option of an additional year.

Beckham, who spent the second half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Brentford, has now committed to the club on a permanent basis. During his loan spell, he was part of the B team squad that lifted the Premier League Cup in May. He also featured in matches against teams such as Monaco, AIK Fotboll, and Halmstads BK in the Atlantic Cup.

The young player, who previously gained experience with Inter Miami II, helping them to a sixth-place finish in the Eastern Conference, has adapted well to life at Brentford. He made 15 appearances for the young Bees and scored a crucial goal against National League side Wealdstone in the Middlesex Senior Cup.

Brentford B head coach, Neil MacFarlane, expressed his delight at Beckham’s decision to extend his stay with the club. He praised Beckham’s contribution to the team and highlighted his impressive performance against Manchester City. MacFarlane is looking forward to continuing to work with Beckham in the upcoming season.

As Brentford prepares for the new season, the addition of Beckham to their squad adds an exciting dimension to their team.
