Kanté’s Journey at Chelsea
Kanté, who has been a key figure in Chelsea’s midfield, was expected to extend his contract with the London club. His representatives even expressed in April that Kanté was keen on continuing his career in London. However, the recent developments suggest a different path for the 32-year-old midfielder.
Joining Forces with Benzema
If the deal goes through, Kanté will join former France international Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad. Benzema, another product of the Olympique Lyonnais academy, joined Al Ittihad earlier today. The move will see Kanté earn a staggering €100m per year until 2025.
