Naby Keïta, the former Liverpool midfielder, has agreed to join Werder Bremen on a free transfer. This move marks Keïta’s return to the Bundesliga, where he previously played for RB Leipzig.
A New Chapter for Keïta
Keïta’s contract with Liverpool ends this summer, and Werder Bremen has acted swiftly to secure the Guinean’s services. Despite Werder Bremen’s lacklustre performance in the 2022/23 Bundesliga season, where they finished 13th and won just one of their final 12 games, the club has shown ambition by signing Keïta.

Keïta’s Time at Liverpool
During his time at Liverpool, Keïta made 129 appearances and scored 12 goals. However, his tenure was marred by injuries, limiting his appearances to just 13 across all competitions in the 2022/23 season.
