Mount’s future at Chelsea has been a topic of intense speculation in recent weeks. The English midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, with the Red Devils having already had three bids turned down by Chelsea.

The latest bid was reportedly worth around £55m, but Chelsea is holding out for £57m plus another £8m in potential add-ons, taking the total deal up to £65m.

Despite the ongoing negotiations, Mount has agreed to personal terms with United and is keen on the move. He has refused contract extensions at Chelsea, who have made it clear that he will be sold this summer rather than staying and leaving for free next year.

Pre-Season Plans

With the transfer talks at a standstill, Mount is set to report for pre-season training at Chelsea. This decision is against the wishes of Chelsea’s new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who prefers not to have players angling for moves away training with the squad.

Chelsea’s players are due to start returning to the Cobham training ground from next Tuesday. However, Pochettino has made it clear that he would prefer not to take players angling for moves away on their pre-season tour of the United States, which starts on July 17.

Despite this, Mount is prepared to give everything for Chelsea while he is still a player at the club. He is ready to go on tour and work hard ahead of next season, even if his future remains unresolved.
