Kyogo Furuhashi – Harry Kane replacement at Spurs?

Harry Kane could be on the verge of leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer with Bayern Munich as the favourites for his signature. New boss Ange Postercoglou could buy his former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi to replace him.

Kane has been single-handedly keeping Spurs ticking the last few seasons and with just 1 year left on his contract, he could be finally making a move out of London. Postercoglou would want a terrific striker to replace Kane at Spurs and Furuhashi is one name that has popped up.

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon does not think Kyogo is capable of replacing Kane’s goals at Spurs. He told the Mail: “I have my doubts, yes. I don’t think for one minute that he could replace Harry Kane, for example, if that was to be the case. He’s a good player. I like his style. I’m just not sure he could play consistently at the highest level in the Premier League on a week-to-week basis.”

“The other thing is that you’ve got Kane there at the minute, you’ve got Son, Kulusevski [and] Richarlison. These are world-class players that he’d need to break into if he goes to Spurs. I think he could play in the Premier League but maybe just not at the top end at the minute.”

Daniel Levy will play hard to get as he would want a premium fee from Bayern Munich if he has to sell his star striker.
