Fred Makes Candid Admission About His Future at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Fred has suggested that he may depart from the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Red Devils fell short of clinching the FA Cup title on Saturday, as Ilkay Gundogan’s brace propelled Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side closer to a historic treble.

Fred, who started the game at Wembley and endured a forgettable performance, has now hinted at his potential departure from the club, expressing his frustration over the limited number of starts he has received this season.

When asked about his plans after his current deal, which is set to expire in 2024, the 30-year-old Brazilian responded, “I still don’t know, I have to chat with my family, I still have one year left in my contract here. It’s now the Christmas season, which is a fantastic time to unwind.”

“I’ll consult my team and the club before making a decision. Ten Hag, the manager, and I do need to speak; the discussion needs to include everyone.”

“We must wait to see how the upcoming days develops. We’ll see. I want to be significant and contribute to the squad. I have been and continue to be quite pleased at Manchester United, though.”

“Naturally, I always want to be playing and supporting my team, so I was happy to start the championship game, and I believe we did a good job.”

Reports suggest that Fulham, managed by Marco Silva, has shown interest in signing Fred from Manchester United in the summer. Following Fulham’s 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford, Silva was spotted engaging in conversation with the Brazilian in the car park. It is believed that intermediaries have already proposed the possibility of a transfer for the midfielder.
