He responded to comments from Manchester United’s manager, who said that Van de Beek’s injury had set him back significantly. “I try not to look too far ahead. It’s up to me to make sure I come back super fit and maybe even stronger. I have to get as close as possible to that level. Who knows what lies ahead,” Van de Beek said.
