‘Definitely won’t go on loan’ – Folarin Balogun issues warning to Arsenal!

Folarin Balogun scored his first international goal for USMNT and helped them win the CONCACAF Nations League Final. He has returned back to Arsenal after a successful loan spell at Reims. He has sent a warning message to Arteta and the club that he will refuse to go back on loan and would like to fight for his place at the London club.

Balogun signed a 4-year contract with Arsenal in 2021 but has only featured 2 times in the Premier League since then. After his success at Reims, he continues to attract interest from clubs across Europe, but is adamant on proving himself first at Arsenal. He faces competition from Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, with Arteta having a major decision on his hands.

Balogun has said when quizzed on his future: “I’m not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place. I’m not sure what’s going to happen. But I’m just committed to now; I try to stay present. I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family. What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again.”

Balogun laid hands on his first international trophy with the USMNT with a 2-0 victory over Canada.
