João Pedro scored twice as Chelsea eased to a 3-0 victory over AC Milan in their pre-season friendly at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
The London side controlled proceedings from the start but had to wait until first-half stoppage time to break through against a stubborn Milan defence.
Pedro opened the scoring in the 45th minute plus two, pouncing to give Chelsea the lead heading into the interval after sustained late pressure from the hosts.
He doubled the advantage immediately after the restart, striking in the 46th minute to make it 2-0 early in the second half for Chelsea and leave Milan reeling.
Moisés Caicedo then put the result beyond doubt five minutes later with a superb finish from a rehearsed corner routine that caught Milan cold completely.
Caicedo met the ball at the edge of the area and volleyed first time without letting it drop, leaving the young Milan goalkeeper with no chance.
Milan tried to respond with sporadic attacks but struggled to create clear openings as Chelsea's defensive organisation held firm throughout the remainder under humid conditions.
Wesley Fofana made a key interception late on to preserve the clean sheet as Chelsea saw out the final stages with composure and control intact.
The result completed a positive outing for Chelsea in their pre-season preparations after recent mixed results in friendlies following defeats to Juventus and Tottenham earlier in the schedule.
For AC Milan, the defeat extended an inconsistent run that had included draws and a loss in their previous summer fixtures ahead of the new Serie A season.
