Bayern Munich fought back from a half-time deficit to claim a 4-2 victory over 1. FC Heidenheim in an entertaining pre-season friendly at the Voith-Arena.
The hosts made a fast start and struck after just five minutes when Yannik Wagner found the net to give Heidenheim an early lead.
Bayern responded midway through the first half as Felipe Chávez levelled the scores in the 25th minute with a magnificent free-kick. The equaliser came after periods of sustained possession from the Bavarian side.
Heidenheim regained the advantage just before the break when Julian Niehues found the net in the 44th minute to cap an impressive first-half showing from the home team.
Bayern drew level almost immediately after the restart when Arijon Ibrahimović calmly converted a penalty in the 47th minute. The clinical finish altered the momentum of the contest.
Bayern continued to press forward in the second half and completed the turnaround in the 78th minute when Luis Díaz finished smartly following an assist from Michael Olise.
Nathaniel Brown then made sure of the victory five minutes later, slotting home a left-footed strike from inside the penalty area after good work by Aleksandar Pavlović.
Marcel Costly missed a late chance for the home side, firing his shot over the crossbar after being set up by Mathias Honsak.
The spirited comeback provides a positive conclusion to pre-season for Bayern Munich as they complete their summer preparations ahead of the new campaign.
