Chelsea have rejected Manchester United’s third bid for Mason Mount.
The bid, which was worth about £55m, was turned down by the Blues, who are understood to want at least £58m plus another £7m in possible add-ons for the England international.
United had previously warned they would walk away from negotiations if the offer was not accepted. However, Chelsea has expressed a willingness to meet with United to resolve the matter, indicating that a resolution may still be possible.

Mount, who has a year left on his contract, has been a key player for Chelsea since making his debut in 2019. He has scored 33 goals in 195 appearances for the club. Despite his contributions, talks about an extension have stalled, and United are confident that the player wants to make the move to Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old midfielder, a product of the Chelsea academy, has had a successful career with the Blues, winning the Champions League in 2021 and starting their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final. He has also won the Fifa Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup with the club.
Despite the rejection of the third bid, there is still hope for a swift resolution so that Mount does not miss pre-season and the opening games of the new campaign. The situation continues to develop, and fans of both clubs are eagerly awaiting the outcome.
