Villarreal have completed the signing of Ben Brereton Diaz from Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract. The 24-year-old Chilean international has agreed to a four-year contract with the La Liga club, keeping him at Villarreal until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Brereton Diaz has been a key player for Blackburn Rovers, scoring 47 goals during his time at the Championship side. In September 2021, he was awarded the Player of the Month for scoring six goals in five consecutive matches, including a hat-trick.

The striker is expected to undergo medical testing along with the rest of the Villarreal squad before completing his first training session under coach Quique Setién on July 8.
Villarreal secured Brereton Diaz’s signature despite interest from several Premier League clubs, including West Ham, Everton, and Leeds.
