Bayern Munich eyeing a shock move for Kalvin Phillips!

Bayern Munich have become shock admirers of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips. Bayern entered the summer as admirers of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and faced stiff competition from Arsenal.

Manchester City entered the race for Declan Rice this week, with reports suggesting they would be the preferred option for the young starlet. However, in a domino effect, Manchester City midfielder, Kalvin Phillips could be heading through the door to the German champions.

Bild reports that Phillips could be a cut-price option for the Germans compared to Rice’s high valuation. Phillips joined City last summer for a fee of £42 million. Amidst a season of injuries and setbacks, he only started 2 Premier League games, which came after the title was secured.

The German club share a strong relationship with Phillips’ agency, CAA Stellar which could help facilitate the move. Kalvin is looking for more playing time this season and could be tempted to move to Munich.
