Arsenal are reportedly on the brink of signing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz. The Gunners are said to be parting with a hefty £65 million to secure the German international.
The deal, as reported by The Athletic, is in its final stages with both clubs ironing out the last details. A medical examination has been arranged for Havertz, who joined Chelsea in 2020 for £72 million and has since scored 32 goals in 139 appearances.
Chelsea, under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, are looking to trim their squad this summer after a spree of marquee signings last season. The sale of Havertz is seen as a part of this strategy, with more new faces expected at Stamford Bridge in the coming months.

Despite the imminent arrival of Havertz, Arsenal’s top priority remains West Ham United captain Declan Rice. The Gunners have already submitted two bids for the English midfielder, both of which have been rejected by the Hammers for failing to meet their valuation. Arsenal’s latest bid reportedly left West Ham ‘fuming’ with the lack of progress in negotiations.
This transfer window promises to be a busy one for Arsenal, with the club seemingly determined to make a strong statement of intent. The signing of Havertz, should it go through, would certainly be a significant step in that direction.
