Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana’s agent, Albert Botines, is currently in Manchester to hold talks with Premier League giants Manchester United.

The Cameroonian international has been linked with a move to the Red Devils in recent days, with United exploring options in case David de Gea leaves the club.

Inter Milan is reportedly open to selling Onana, who played a crucial role in their Champions League campaign, as the club faces financial challenges. The Italian side is said to be demanding at least €50 million for the goalkeeper. Recently, Chelsea appeared to be leading the race for Onana, but talks between the two clubs did not result in a move, putting Manchester United in a strong position to sign the player.

Onana, 27, joined Inter Milan last summer on a free transfer from Ajax and quickly established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. He has previously worked with Manchester United’s current manager, Erik ten Hag, at Ajax, where they won three league titles together. Onana’s ability to play with the ball at his feet makes him well-suited to ten Hag’s style of play.

David de Gea’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain, as his contract is set to expire on June 30. Manchester United have reportedly lost confidence in the Spanish goalkeeper signing a new deal, prompting the club to explore other options. In addition to Onana, the Red Devils have also held talks with other candidates for a back-up role at the club.

As negotiations continue, Manchester United fans eagerly await the outcome of these talks and the potential arrival of André Onana at Old Trafford.
