Paris Saint-Germain dominated Angers with a clinical 3-0 victory at Stade Raymond-Kopa, with Lee Kang-In, Senny Mayulu, and Lucas Beraldo all finding the net to extend PSG’s commanding lead at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG arrived in Anjou as runaway league leaders, sitting 35 points clear of their hosts with a record of 22 wins from 30 matches. Angers, meanwhile, occupied 13th place with just 34 points from 31 games, their recent form showing three losses in their last five outings. The gulf in quality between the two sides was evident before kickoff.

PSG wasted no time stamping their authority on proceedings. Lee Kang-In opened the scoring in the seventh minute, giving the visitors an early foothold. The South Korean forward’s quick strike set the tone for what would become a one-sided affair.

Angers struggled to gain any meaningful possession or create genuine chances. Their defensive shape proved fragile against PSG’s fluid attacking play. Goalkeeper Hervé Koffi was forced into six saves across the match, dealing with constant pressure from the visitors.

PSG doubled their advantage in the 39th minute when Senny Mayulu added a second goal. The hosts’ backline had no answer for the visitors’ movement and precision passing. PSG’s 72% possession and 814 total passes reflected their complete control of the midfield.

The second half began much like the first, with PSG firmly in charge. Lucas Beraldo extended the lead to 3-0 in the 52nd minute, effectively ending any slim hopes Angers harbored of a comeback. The defender’s goal capped a dominant display from the Parisian defense.

PSG’s defensive solidity was tested minimally. Angers mustered just one shot on target across 90 minutes, with an expected goals tally of only 0.26. In contrast, PSG fired 10 shots on target from 17 total attempts, registering an xG of 2.99.

A red card for Gianluigi Ramos in the 74th minute punctuated PSG’s dominance. The midfielder received two yellow cards in quick succession, reducing PSG to ten men with 16 minutes remaining. However, this did little to trouble the visitors’ comfortable position.

Beraldo stood out as PSG’s standout performer, earning a rating of 8.9 and completing both his shots on target while providing an assist. Lee Kang-In also impressed with a 7.9 rating, combining his goal with an assist. PSG’s passing accuracy of 93% demonstrated their technical superiority throughout.

Angers offered precious little resistance, managing just five total shots with limited accuracy. Their 28% possession and nine fouls reflected a team overwhelmed by their opponents’ quality and intensity. Six offsides decisions further highlighted their defensive disorganization.

The result extends PSG’s remarkable season. They now sit on 69 points from 30 matches, maintaining their position at the summit. Angers remain stuck in mid-table, their struggles continuing in a season that has failed to meet expectations.

PSG’s next challenge awaits as they continue their pursuit of the Ligue 1 title. Angers must regroup quickly and seek to reverse their recent downward trajectory before the campaign concludes.
