Inter Miami have officially announced the signing of Sergio Busquets, the former Barcelona legend.
The 34-year-old Spanish midfielder will be reuniting with his old teammate, Lionel Messi, in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Busquets, who has earned 143 caps for Spain, was offered a one-year extension to stay at Barcelona. He also received a proposal to move to the Saudi Pro League. However, the prospect of playing with Messi again was central to his decision, and he chose to join Inter Miami instead.

Busquets and Messi have a long history of playing together, having featured alongside each other from Busquets’ emergence in Barcelona’s first team in 2008 up to Messi’s emotional exit for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
The reunion of Messi and Busquets, two players who have shared numerous successes at Barcelona, will undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience and skill to the team.
