Arsenal are reportedly on the brink of signing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz. The Gunners are said to be parting with a hefty £65 million to secure the German international.

The deal, as reported by The Athletic, is in its final stages with both clubs ironing out the last details. A medical examination has been arranged for Havertz, who joined Chelsea in 2020 for £72 million and has since scored 32 goals in 139 appearances.

Chelsea, under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, are looking to trim their squad this summer after a spree of marquee signings last season. The sale of Havertz is seen as a part of this strategy, with more new faces expected at Stamford Bridge in the coming months.
