Sassuolo’s renewed impetus paid off decisively. In the 56th minute, Armand Laurienté fired home an equalizer, assisted by Andrea Pinamonti, igniting the comeback. The momentum swung firmly in the away team’s favour.
Just two minutes later, the turnaround was complete. Pinamonti, having assisted the first, found the back of the net himself, guided home by another assist from Ulisses Garcia in the 58th minute. This quickfire double left the home crowd stunned.
Udinese desperately pushed for a reply, even seeing a goal by N. Bertola disallowed for handball following a VAR review in the 70th minute. Further substitutions were made by both teams in the closing stages as the intensity remained high.
