Roy Keane blasts David De Gea as he claims United ‘Need a new goalkeeper’!

Manchester United fell short against Manchester City once again as City lift the FA Cup. David De Gea was at fault for the second goal as Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace to win 2-1. Roy Keane has emphasized the need for the club to acquire a new goalkeeper.

De Gea’s performance, particularly in relation to the second goal, raised questions as he appeared to allow Gundogan’s strikes to go in rather easily. In the aftermath of the game, former United captain Keane strongly criticized the Spaniard and offered his advice on the areas the club should focus on in the upcoming summer transfer window. Keane exclaimed that United must prioritize obtaining a new goalkeeper, as well as a world-class striker.

He expressed his frustration at repeatedly making this point and added that the club also requires additional players and depth in their squad. ‘United have got to get a new goalkeeper,’ Keane exclaimed. ‘They need a world class striker and a new goalkeeper. They need some other players and some strength in depth but they need a new goalkeeper and a world class striker I’m sick of saying it.’

City have won the domestic Double and are on-course for a treble. Manchester United are the only English team to have won a treble. Rivals Manchester City have just Inter Milan to face next weekend that stands in their way of winning a treble.
