Inter Milan’s head coach, Simone Inzaghi, has confidently stated that his team is not intimidated by Manchester City as they prepare for the upcoming Champions League final. This final marks Inter’s first appearance in the Champions League final since their last victory 13 years ago.
A Match Without Fear
Inzaghi dismissed any notions of fear in the face of the Premier League and FA Cup winners, Manchester City. “We’re talking about a football match, there’s no fear,” Inzaghi told reporters. “We have a lot of respect but we’re proud to play this final because we wanted it with every fibre of our being.“

The Challenge of Erling Haaland
Inter Milan’s defense, including central defender Alessandro Bastoni, will face the challenge of stopping City’s potent attack led by striker Erling Haaland. Haaland has scored 12 goals in Europe this season and will top the competition’s scoring charts regardless of the final’s outcome. Bastoni, however, remains unfazed, stating, “You are scared of murderers, not football players. It would be a mistake to talk about fear.“
The Striker Decision
Inzaghi also revealed that he is yet to decide who will partner Lautaro Martinez in Inter’s attack. He is considering whether to play veteran Edin Dzeko or in-form Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku has scored seven times and set up five more in his last 11 matches, which could potentially earn him a spot in Inter’s starting XI in Istanbul.
