Ransford Königsdörffer’s double guided Hamburger SV to a thrilling 3-2 Bundesliga victory over Union Berlin at the Volksparkstadion.
Hamburger SV secured a dramatic 3-2 victory against Union Berlin in a pulsating Bundesliga encounter. Forward Ransford Königsdörffer was the hero, scoring twice to lead his team to a hard-fought win.
Coming into the match, Hamburger SV sat 11th in the league, seeking to climb the mid-table. Union Berlin, positioned 9th, hoped to improve on their recent inconsistent form. The Eisernen had only one win in their last five outings.
The visitors started strong, earning a penalty in the 28th minute. Leopold Querfeld calmly converted from the spot, putting Union Berlin ahead. The home crowd at Volksparkstadion fell silent.
