Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean footballer who once dazzled the Premier League with his performances for Arsenal, is reportedly contemplating a return to England’s top flight. The 34-year-old, whose contract with Marseille is set to expire at the end of the season, is open to the idea of a Premier League comeback.
Sanchez’s career in England was a tale of two halves. His stint at Arsenal was marked by stellar performances, but his subsequent move to Manchester United was less successful. Despite being hailed as the Red Devils’ new saviour, Sanchez struggled to find his footing and eventually left the club without making a significant impact.

However, reports from Chile suggest that Arsenal might be considering a reunion with their former superstar. Fans of the Gunners have expressed their excitement at the prospect of Sanchez’s return. One fan tweeted, “I would take Alexis Sanchez back for a season or two for the Cup games and as a backup if he wants for all games next season.”
Sanchez himself has spoken about his time at Manchester United. He said, “Suddenly the cell phone rings. [Jose] Mourinho tells me: ‘Alexis, here is the seven [shirt] available for you.’ That’s when I said to myself, Chilean footballer playing for Manchester United, something that has never happened.” However, he later admitted, “After the first training session, I realised many things & when I got back home. I told my agent if I could cancel the contract & go back to Arsenal.”
